The minimum wage in France in 2018 is around 1400 euros a month and it is one of the highest minimum salaries in Europe. The hierarchy in companies is high and punctuality is important. The income tax in France follows a pay-as-you-earn -system and for a salary from ~9000 to ~27000e a tax rate of 14% is used, and the next bracket ~27000 to ~72000e is 30%.
